Hi Everyone!
Welcome to i.TV’s blog. My name is Justin.
We have been busy the past few weeks getting ready to launch i.TV in the iTunes App Store.
I think you’re really going to like our app. It is a media-rich TV and movie guide–and IT’S FREE.
The app has not yet appeared in the App Store but that is not stopping us or you from talking about it. If you would like to be among the first to know when i.TV launches, follow our Twitter feed: http://twitter.com/mediamyway
If you are a member of the press and would like a briefing from an i.TV executive, please write us at press@i.tv.
Just wanted to let you know that exciting things are coming and give you ways to find out more.
Keep watching!
Justin

Any ideas when this app might be out? Or did it suffer podcaster’s fate for some reason? If you’ve been NDA’d by Apple, blink twice, then wink three times with your right eye….

Hey Chris,
Thanks for asking and although my condolences go out to Podcaster…we haven’t suffered their fate. Our app will be here soon. Everything is still on track and we’ll let you know as soon as it goes live in the App Store.
The approval process is taking longer than anticipated and it’s not Apple’s fault. A few weeks ago, we noticed something happening in the version we submitted to Apple that ultimately would have had an unwanted effect on our users’ experience. We temporarily pulled it from App Store approval process to fix the problem. It caused a delay but we’re glad we caught it before everyone else did!
Hope that answers your question. Like I said, we’ll announce it here as soon as i.TV appears in the App Store. –Justin

Hi Justin, thanks for the updates. I’m really looking forward to this product. I posted it on my site, and as an iPhone user, I’m going to jump on this the second it hits the store. Some things I’m curious about:
Payment model: Is it fully ad-supported? Is there access to better content for $?
Notification services: Will I be updated on my favorite shows or new shows?
Geography: Will content be equally available to US and Canadian customers?
So many questions. In any case, I’m excited about the product!

Kyle!
Thanks for writing and we are definitely excited to get the product out there.
Some answers to your questions:
1. Payment model-the app is absolutely free and supported by advertisements. We have no current plans charge for access to better content.
2. Notification services: In this version, notification services comes in the form of being able to send a calendar item to yourself through the app.
3. Geography: We at i.TV LOVE Canada–we just couldn’t launch without giving our friends north of the border access to everything that will be available in the US.
I hope that answers your questions. Keep reading and watching to know when the app goes live in the App Store. -Justin
